Nokia Announce new X20 Phone

In my early twenties I either broke or lost all of my Nokia phones, mostly due to various degrees of inebriation. However, today Nokia has announced the new X20, the headline act for a new range X series phones.

The X-Series

Now available for pre-order at JB HI-FI, the Nokia X20 is a phone that Aussies can trust and keep for many tomorrows. It also comes with a free, three month screen replacement just in case the unexpected happens, as well as, three years of security and Android updates. (Conditions apply).

James Robinson, ANZ Country Manager, HMD Global said: “In Australia, we spend more than $155 million each year to replace broken and lost mobile handsets – a significant amount. That’s why Nokia phones go the extra mile when it comes to build quality and durability – undergoing  tougher tests than the industry average. And now, we’ve even introduced an industry-leading three year warranty, making it easier for Australians to hold onto their phones for longer.

“No matter the price point, we want Australians to love, trust and keep their phone. The new X-series is an example of what a mid-range smartphone can offer, combining more premium features such as cameras with ZEISS Optics with unrivalled reliability, security and durability”.

Long Battery Life

The Nokia X20 comes with up to two-days of usage per charge, complete with Adaptive Battery technology which is smart enough to prioritise power for the apps used the most.

5G connectivity also means Australians can enjoy faster streaming, gaming and sharing. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G Mobile Platform delivering series-defying performance and truly global 5G.

A Phone That Can Last The Distance

Staying true to its Nordic heritage, the Nokia X20 is timeless in design, wrapped in the beautifully golden Midnight Sun or classic Nordic Blue colour, resulting in a dependable handset that looks premium but doesn’t break the bank. Plus, all Nokia phones undergo more rigorous testing than other smartphone brands5.

Featuring an easy-to-use, pure Android 11 software straight out of the box, and  three years of  Android upgrades, means that Nokia users will be among the first to experience the latest innovations from Google.

The Nokia X20 is also the first handset from the brand to come with a 100% compostable case in the box. The compostable case reduces waste and has been designed to last longer and disappear later.

Impressive Camera

The Nokia X20 is ready and waiting to capture the world around you in crisp detail whether day or night using the versatile AI-powered 64MP quad camera with renowned ZEISS Optics. Featuring an ultra-wide lens for impressive scenic views, a macro-lens for intricate close-ups, and a depth sensor for portraits that stand out.

When it comes to videos, the new Dual Sight Multi-Cam mode gives the ability to shoot using the front and rear cameras simultaneously. Plus, with Cinema mode users can capture videos in cinematic 21:9 format and edit using pro-level colour grading tools for impressive results at the touch of a button. And you can truly make your mark with watermarking, whether it is a signature, logo or hashtag.

The selfie game and video calls will be taken to a new level with the Nokia X20’s impressive 32MP front facing camera on a crisp Full HD+ punch-hole display.

Pricing and Availability

The Nokia X20 (6 GB/128 GB variant) will be exclusively available for pre-order from 20th of May at JB HI-FI for $599 RRP, with bonus Nokia Lite Earbuds.
